Legal Advocacy
AAUW's Legal Advocacy Fund was conceived and implemented as a fund for members's contributions for investment in activities that prevent and combat sex discrimination and promotes gender equity. The fund helps support critical cases to help break through educational and economic barriers so all women will have a fair chance. Our branch contributes to the national fund and raises money by selling Women's Pins, charming handmade pins of women doing all kinds of activities. The LAF chairs are members of the Board of Nevada County AAUW.
